Waiting for Spring

A HUGE THANK-YOU TO EVERYONES COMMENTS AND FOLLOWERS, I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE.

First time blogging so please be patient.  Will start out with some pics of favorites of mine.

Just bought this hutch from a consignment shop.  Think I will eventually paint it cream colored.  Love the Magnolia dishes first set I got in Tallahassee, FL., along with napkins and placemats in basket.  I keep going back to those colors being my favorite.

Built-in hutch with some gifts to me over the years.  On the bottom I found these at a thrift shop. They are Nortake, Misty 2883, I got 72 pieces for don't faint ($15.00).  I stood right in front of them until salesgirl could help me.  You can' buy one piece for that.  I also have another large set I bought in  Florida for $25.00, will get a picture on later.  The red dishes {Avon} my MIL and my Mom started me on.  The top is Fantasia my Mom bought most of them for me and I have found some at flea markets and consignment shops.

My Grandbabies, the loves of my life.  I cut out and painted these boards then decoupaged the 10x20 pictures on, also did edits on the pics.

Have both of my Grandchildren today, will be busy.  Trevin who is 2 and Olivia who is 5.

Got the plate and vase eons ago for a gift.  I made the doily eons ago.  I just dug them out this spring to see how they would look in this corner.  I got flowers at Dollar Tree and greenery had stashed.  I think a little white Babies Breath is needed.

Quilt

Made this for my new Granddaughter {Ava Brooke} due April 15th.  Didn't  take a picture after it was  finished, will have to do that.

Welcome to blogging - there is a lot to learn at first. I have a 'blogging tips' page for newcomers that some people have told me they found helpful. You can find it here: http://gracie-senseandsimplicity.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_11.html

I love your quilt that you made for your new grandbaby and way to go on the great thrifting finds.

You are going to be so glad you did this I'll bet! I have been doing my blog[s] for just over two years now and the hardest thing for me is to stay focused on my original reasons for getting http://mershongeorgiagirl.blogspot.com started..I vere off in another directions so often BUT I do usually manage to remember that #1.you cannot force creativity #2. and to have something about which to write..you gotta HAVE A LIFE..don't feel guilty about taking RECESS regularly. Sometimes the ideas to share just keep coming and other times like NOW..I don't seem to have a creative thought in my heat. Last: I tell everyone my reasons for Blogging: Tod challenge me with the technology and to challenge me creatively[esp. writing. At first I tho't I wanted my blog to LOOK like all the fantastic ones I visit..then realized it has to BE ME..that's when I started using 99% of my own pictures in my own environment..that's what I feel comfortable with..Lastly..AGAIN: My object has never been to gather thousands of FOLLOWERS..but I do appreciated those who manage to find me and stop by ..please lv a note when you can and I wl ck in on you..have fun!
